If you were with us last time you’ll remember David made a huge mistake, because he was trusting in the size of his army rather than God. I’m happy to say he recognized the conviction of the Spirit and confessed his sin of pride to God. It’s a good reminder to us to be on the lookout for pride that so easily takes root in our lives, and turn from it.

What happens when God’s people begin to trust in the blessing of God rather than the God who blesses? We’ll find out today on Abounding Grace! As you get older one of the more difficult things to avoid is not becoming bitter. It’s hard because the older you get the more hurts and pains you’ll have to endure. But if we’re not carful the bitterness can rob us of our song of praise. It’s giant of a battle. David faced that giant and overcame it too.
