Abounding Grace on Oneplace.com

If you’re a Christian you have a testimony and the Lord can use it in powerful ways. What a privilege it is to speak of God’s grace that saves us and changes our lives. In Galatians chapter one we run across the Apostle Paul’s testimony. We’ll notice who he was before he was saved, and can’t help but see the big difference after God got a hold of his life. Pastor Ed Taylor will point out how our lives can bring glory to God as well, here today on Abounding Grace.

We’re making our way through Galatians one verse at a time. As we learned last time, there is only one gospel, and one way to be saved. A group of legalists had made their way into the church at Galatia and added to the gospel of grace. The Galatians were turning away from the truth because of it, so the apostle Paul stepped in with this reminder of what the gospel is and isn’t!

We’re just getting our feet wet in the epistle of Galatians. Now the Galatians had drifted and turned away from the truth. They needed to be reminded that there is only One Gospel! And that’s a message our world needs to hear today as well. As there are many who have turned away from the truth and are believing lies.

Today we turn to the book of Acts and learn a thing or two about waiting on the Lord. We learned last time that our eyes need to remain on Jesus at such times and we need to remember Christ is coming back.

Some go to college to earn a degree. Others work diligently for years in hopes of getting the job of their dreams. An athlete or musician will practice day after day to improve. In many areas of life people put in the time and effort to achieve their goals. But when it comes to our salvation from sin and approval with God we need to realize we can’t earn it and we don’t deserve it. It’s by grace that we are saved, apart from works! Today on Abounding Grace pastor Ed Taylor visits the first five verses of Galatians chapter one. It’s a marvelous declaration of the grace of God.

Pastor Ed Taylor will complete his study in Exodus today, and in these final chapters we’re about to look at, the Tabernacle is being constructed. God went to great detail when describing to the people how He wanted His Tabernacle built, and for good reason... it was to be a portrait of Christ. And it’s also good to note, that the people heard the instructions and obeyed them completely.
