August 24 God Uses the Natural to do Supernatural Things Part 1
We see it virtually every election, people have a tendency of looking and judging according to outward appearance. But really the character and a proven track record should be the measure when it comes to determining who would be a good leader. This is certainly not a new problem, as we’ll discover today on Abounding Grace! We take you to First Samuel chapter nine, which is the beginning of the historical record of Israel’s first King. Saul had the looks but not the character.

Today we’ll be wrapping up our four-part mini-series called, “A Church That’s Well.” Part of a larger study in Acts. We’ve learned thus far that a healthy, vibrant church is made up of four ingredients… they’re worshipping, evangelistic, learning and loving. And last time pastor Ed Taylor showed us that being fully committed is important too! And today we’ll be encouraged to embrace a simple life. As this world gets darker and harder, that’s a message we need to hear.

August 20 Who's Your King? Part 1
The role of government is to judge the evildoer. Put another way… it’s to restrain evil and promote righteousness. And so governments and its judges are God’s ministers and should rightly represent Him. There’s an obvious breakdown that we’ll take note of in First Samuel chapter eight! And it led a nation of people into discouragement and disillusionment, crying out for a King!

August 14 God Does the Impossible Part 1
It’s been well said that there must be conviction before there can be conversion. It’s like the person who is seriously ill and if he doesn’t believe he’s is danger he won’t accept the diagnosis and take the necessary treatment. Spiritually speaking if the symptoms of our condition persist it’s mercy designed to push us toward treatment and healing. Find your place in First Samuel chapter six as we bring you Abounding Grace.

August 13 God Above All Fake Gods Part 2
We have a tendency to pass the problem on to somebody else rather than deal with it ourselves. But God in His goodness has a way of bringing us to a place where we can no longer “Kick the can down the road.” We give you a case in point on today’s Abounding Grace. When the Philistines had captured the Ark of the Covenant - God did something about it – and there are quite a few noteworthy lessons we don’t want you to miss.
