Today the plan is to cover more ground in First Samuel, and we left off in chapter ten. We’ve been learning recently how God leads and guides us by His Spirit. It doesn’t always line up with conventional thinking. Saul is about to become the first King of Israel, but before this happens he’s going to receive confirmation through three signs. Ed will relate this to our calling today.

It’s been observed that the middle letter of sin and pride is I. An astute observation! We can so easily forget that apart from Jesus, I can do nothing. But really the character and a proven track record should be the measure when it comes to determining who would be a good leader.
