Whether we’re serving in the nursery at church, or going on a short-term missions trip, or serving meals to the homeless, it’s a good idea to ask why are we doing it? Right now we’re in Genesis chapter 28, and for the next 8 chapters the focus will be on Jacob. Up until now we’ve seen Jacob up to no good, but God got a hold of his life. And we begin to hear of his transformation and really the saving of Jacob in this chapter.
