This week on the podcast we will discuss how we manage through the tough times in our Christian walk. One of the main themes this quarter has been making sure that we learn to put God first. We get a first hand example of what this is like with the story of Jehoshaphat. We also discuss why we should trust God and not only in our own resources by looking at a situation that David faced in his later years of rulership. Finally, we talk about how we should simplify our lives today and what our main priority should be moving forward.

This week on the podcast we discuss what it means to give back to God as we enter the non-working days of our lives. As we will see in this lesson, there is so much work to be done today that can have implications on the future. We talk about the parable of the rich fool, the life of David in his last years as well as understanding that we cannot take our gathered possessions with us when we die. It is important that we leave behind a spiritual legacy but this requires us to make sure we are doing the work while we are still alive.

This week Elder Nick discusses the importance of understanding what covetousness is and how to take the right steps to overcome this silent problem in our lives. Where did covetousness originate from? He also covers three separate stories in the Bible where people who had a connection with God, dealt with coveting and what their fate was. Not all is bad news though as God always provides a way out in 3 simple steps.

This week on the podcast, we discuss the main aspects of success and compare what it means in everyday life to how we should view it biblically. We touch on the blessings of work, the main earning years as well as working with integrity. Our lives are segmented into three main parts; making good financial decisions when we are young can lead us to be ready to start a family and teaching our kids the ways of the Lord. During this stage we strive to make good decisions that will lead us to have peaceful retirement years. Success is not always defined by how much money you have in the bank.

We will look at the 3 biggest reasons why people get into debt as well as 3 ways that will help us begin to get out of debt. All of this comes with a premise of course and if you listened to last weeks episode, I think you know what that might be.
