We are more than grateful to have the author of "The World's Easiest Book On Becoming Antiracist," Dr. DuBois Teddy McMillan to discuss his experiences and inspirations behind writing his book. With the knowledge he share on this episode, we are able to dive deeper into the topic and discuss some of the history behind many ideologies as well as being colored in several systems that separate you for that alone. Casey goes into confidence and turns the conversation into how you can be confident in your self regardless of color. Thanks for joining us and God bless.
A mand is a request and by independently doing so, we are not becoming dependent on those we are requesting from. As an independent individual, how is this learned? Jay and I go deeper into how we not only gained our independence, but how it impacted the other aspects of life for us as women, especially when asking for help. Thank you for joining us as we dive deeper on the importance of us asking for help, no matter how independent we may be. God bless.
We are back and better than ever! In this episode, Casey and I rundown the first four episodes of the season to gain our personal perspectives on everything we said or heard the other say. We get more in depth by having both sides explaining our answers to the questions the other side has and create a deeper conversation about all four shows and how they tie together. Thank you for joining, blessings.
In this episode, Casey and Uncle Mo are both back and in a completely different space as they discuss what they've seen on their side of relationships as men. Join them as they learn more about each other's point of view and dig deep with questions and struggles they both have had. Thanks for joining us and God bless.
As I (Tiffany) go deeper into discussing my romantic relationship, I am joined by my Aunt Latoya. She and I get down to the basics of what we have learned as women throughout the years of looking for and growing in love while still taking care of self. Thanks for tuning in and God Bless.
As we embark on our journey of the male and female perspective this season, Casey and Tyler go in depth about what it means to them to be a man with emotional intelligence. Thanks for hearing out both sides of this topic, and God bless.
Emotions are talked about through the lives of Tiffany and Diani. We go into detail about how we were raised and the difference we saw between the women and men we grew around, which led us to not connecting with our emotions until years later. Thank you guys for joining our second season and God bless!
Welcome back to AoK! I can’t tell you all how happy I am to be back with you guys. I hope you guys are ready to embark upon this new adventure with me and my cohost for this season, Casey. Thank you all for your love and support throughout the first season and may there be many more to come! So get ready to buckle up and enjoy the ride. I love you and God bless.
Many of us understand the traits that we have inherited from our parents, but some of us also see traits or patterns with our parents and the generations before them that we cannot continue. As I (Tiffany) sit with Casey, we discuss growing up in traditions that we noticed and eventually had to stand up against. We talk about the ideas behind what we were told and how difficult it was when we finally broke away to rid ourselves of maybe what others wanted for us in order to become more in tune with what we want for ourselves. No matter how great someone’s intentions are for us, they are not God’s intentions. Thank you all for listening this far, as this is the last episode of Season One. We can’t wait to see you all back again for the exciting and different dynamic we are bringing to the show in Season Two. God bless you all and never forget that everything is A ok.
Life may not always go your way but it is still determined by the decisions you make. Join me (Tiffany), as I sit with my uncle and we share our conversations about life, love and the journey you take to understand both. I’ve been blessed to have his wisdom and knowledge in my life to help guide me, and I couldn’t think of anything better to share with the world than everything and everyone who has helped build and guide not only my power, but everyone else’s who have come in contact with them. This episode is dedicated to the memory of my cousin, Malcolm (Mookie). We love and miss you always, cousin.
