This week was rather neutral. Both Anna and Sy suffered from a case of the mehs (*spelling?) - Anna's was weather triggered, Sy's was a result of family drama. But they end the chat on a high note, picking a movie to analyze/discuss in a future hangout. Please don't hate us for our cheesy (and in Sy's case, HORRIBLE) taste in movies.

This week, Anna celebrates a few professional accomplishments and Sy sets some big goals for November. Both are in a better mental space and optimistic about the coming weeks. Yay for less drama! A couple things we mentioned in this week's show included:

• Nanowrimo

Anna idled in neutral this week, avoiding the world by hiding in novels. Sy, on the other hand, had a week from hell. An unfortunate misstep hurt a friend and sent her into a spiral of guilt and sadness that lingered most of the week. However, time heals all things, and we are both confident that next week can only be better (and hopefully easier and less dramatic). Cross your fingers for us, listeners, we could use the positive thoughts. Thank you for listening to the roller coaster that is our life.

Sy struggled last week with hormonally induced depression and Anna had to break out the big stick to get her back in gear. She WILL hit her writing goals this week... OR ELSE! Anna survived her dad's visit - enjoyed it, even - and was very happy with her role in helping her friend accomplish her biggest floral delivery/set-up of the year. Sometimes life gets hard, but we struggle, we persevere, and we overcome. WE WILL DO THE THINGS!

Sy is amazing and is letting Anna off the hook this week since she had to work essentially 30 hours in 2 1/2 days, including a ridiculous amount of driving. Anna wrote an email check-in instead, and Sy will, hopefully, be extra engaging to fill the void. Back to our usual format next week, we promise!

This week, Anna realized she had some pent up frustration regarding her dad's upcoming visit, and let it all out. Sy was a brilliant professional at Geek Girl Con last weekend and is hoping to ride the high of that success to help her meet her writing goals this week. Then, we ended with an extra long good-bye where we said we were done but proceeded to talk for another ten minutes. We do that sometimes. You're welcome. #relationshipgoals *Also!
