He followed his passion for broadcast journalism to New York where he worked for ABCNews, eventually focusing on ABCNews.com. He won an award for Online Journalism for his coverage of Kosovo, an assignment for which he was the sole team member on the ground. He moved to NBC where he worked on the Tom Brokaw Show and MSNBC.com. He shifted to the New York Times where he was involved on both the print side and managing the Home Page for NewYorkTimes.com. He spent a few months living in and reporting from Saudi Arabia, after losing some friends during 9/11. Upon his return to the US, he worked for AOL and then moved to Los Angeles to manage 30 digital properties for a start-up called SpinMedia. August 05, 2020Danny LevinDanny Levin was born and raised during the early part of his life in Philadelphia. At the young age of 10 he lost his father, whom he adored. Precisely two years later, down to the same day, he lost his mother. Danny headed to college after residing with an aunt and uncle for a while and studied Psychology for two years before heading on a worldwide tour. He spent time in Israel where he nearly became an ordained rabbi and spent a decade in Northern CA living in a monastery as a monk. He left the monastic order, married and started a family. He lost his first wife to cancer when his daughter was merely eight years old. He has since re-married and adores the company of his wife and her two children.
