Acmecast

We continue our introspective into the myth of Jermaine Exum and his 25 years at Acme Comics, this time with guest and Friend of the store Ryan Rubio

While in Charlotte for Heroes' GIANT-SIZED MINI-CON, Ben and Austin took it upon themselves to finally record a watch along of Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man movie in their preparation of No Way Home!  Watch along with us or just enjoy our commentary.  This was recorded in a hotel room with one microphone so please excuse the audio quality!

A completely all-spooky, all-creepy episode of the Acme Cast! Lord Retail was at TF-Con so we invited in customer, friend, and listener questioner Jack Dougherty to discuss some creepy comics and real-life scares!

Ben updates everyone about his New York Comic Con Adventure. We discuss the current issues with Penguin Random House shipping.  A new WHATS IN THE BOX?!

Jermaine and Ben sit down with actor/writer David Dastmalchian. You'll know David from his many roles across both superhero genre and non-superheroic films including The Dark Knight, Ant-Man, Suicide Squad, Blade Runner, and the upcoming DUNE series of films.  David also wrote what we consider a modern-classic horror comic, COUNT CROWLEY: RELUCTANT MIDNIGHT MONSTER HUNTER.  Sit back and hear one of the best episodes of the podcast, yet!

We asked you guys a simple question, "When you think of a battle taking place AT the statue of Liberty in a movie, what movie do you think of?" We finally pull back the curtain and settle the score on the recently much debated topic.

We're celebrating 25 years of Lord Retail (Jermaine) at Acme Comics! Over the next few months Jermaine will be sitting down and talking with Acme employees and friends from past and present about things he may have forgotten over the years. Learn some things about the man and the store that will surprise you!

Hear Austin and Jermaine's thoughts on Shang Chi! We argue about Nickelodeon... AGAIN! Whats in the Box returns.

We talk A LOT about WHAT'S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE a new series from creators Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss.  We need your pre-orders on this one!  The new drop of Marvel Events!  Fro some reason we argue about our respective eras of Nickelodeon.  Join us, won't you?!

Read the title but read it in the Animaniacs' voice when they say "Hello Nurse!"  We talk Substack! It's not a sandwich thing! We update everyone on the store! We're still alive and kicking after Free Comic Book Day! Is it really Spooky Season yet? We talk our favorite pop culture skeletons.  And yes... we talk about THAT trailer!
