Acmecast

We get into the thick of it again folks! Why are you reading this? Listen to the episode!

A brief rundown of things happening at the shop before we dive right into a big mailbag of YOUR listener questions!

This is a big one folks! All of our thoughts on Zack Snyder's Justice League! Do Ben and Austin hate Superman? The massive Marvel Comics/Penguin Random House distribution deal. Are you reading Daniel Warren Johnson's Beta Ray Bill? You should be! Listen to Power Trip!

This week we're talking BRZRKR, celebrity comic book writers, more shop nonsense, media that changed our lives and of course answer your listener questions... To the best of our abilities at least.

You might be able to hear the exhaustion in our voices. It's been a rigorous few weeks at ol' camp Acme. Late shipments, comics controversy on Twitter, and the constant pandemic retail grind. But don't worry, we talk about it all and take some more listener questions!

The Acme Comics Crew is back! We're talking WandaVision(Spoiler Alert!), classic sitcoms, DC Comics, new titles, Lawnmower Man, and we're answering your listener questions.  Someone get Jermaine a coffee maker, please.

Some AcmeCast AUDIO KARATE for your listening pleasure!  We talk comics, we talk WandaVision and Cobra Kai.  More listener questions. Does the Karate Kid work for Marvel? Some think so!

We return to our regularly scheduled programming to see what's what's happening in the store this week! Recorded in the wee hours of the AM before the store opened we talk coffee mishaps, the staff review of Wonder Woman: 1984, and the sitcom nature of some days at the shop.  Email your podcast questions to [email protected]

The entire Acme crew together at last! Join us as we do a year in review and answer YOUR questions on air! Email any questions you have for the AcmeCast to [email protected]

Ben talks the creative team behind the upcoming GRIT from Scout Comics. We love being able to shed light on indie comics and smaller press works whenever we get a chance, especial when its a book THIS GOOD! Writer Brian Wickman and artist Kevin Castaniero talk about how they got their start in comics, taking the highway to the diner zone, and of course lots about GRIT.  GRIT will be on the shelves 7/29!
