Mo is depressed and catching strays, and the entire family is struggling with finding their place, their purpose, and their calling. A travel book to its core, This Wicked Fate, takes the reader on a journey to mysterious islands filled with monsters and gods that may or may not be totally helpful. The unconditional love that was so prevalent in book 1 is just as strong here, and it is a joy to witness.
