We're back! Fresh off a World Cup hangover and trying to remember where we left off the podcast finally responds to the ASFB administration, which has been screaming for more content.
This week the usual suspects are joined by John Kunkel, and what a story he has to tell. Who falls in love with a football team after watching them play Crawley Town? John does, and it's a fascinating tale! We get information on the US branch of BIAS, we hear about his Brentford places on Twitter and Facebook, he gives us some tips on the Fanfest occurring in Orlando, and we hear about the pub outside Washington DC where you can get a good pint of London Pride.
There are discussions of the current squad and changes that may be needed, especially as regards one naughty striker, in a wide-ranging conversation between John, Greville and Tim.
Text the pod! I'd love to hear from you directly as well - please email me at [email protected].
Relief as Across the Seas but Forever Bees gets to discuss maybe (maybe) the greatest win in Brentford's modern era. There's been so many great days in the last few years. Ivan and Rico show Southgate what he's missing with masterclasses, but really everyone played a part in a historic victory over Manchester City.
Pittsburgh's own Matt Rapp joins Tim and Greville to look back at an astonishing win, at 19 points and 10th place, and at the state of Brentford as we head to the break imposed by the World Cup.

The World Cup break comes at about the right time, but there's reasons to be cheerful: A return of Christian Norgaard, a full run-out for Mikkel Damsgaard, KLP gets some important minutes...we pick up a point. err...
A weekend that saw us drop two points to bottom of the table Forest, on a goal that was at best a bit questionable, is followed by a strong Brentford side crashing out of the League Cup on penalties to a Gillingham we really should have beaten.
A lot to ruminate on this week. I hope that you enjoy this week's podcast.

How painful was the Wolves match last weekend? Are we looking up, or over our shoulder? Should we treat the Toney suspension as a blessing in disguise? Who is our first eleven for the trip to Forest? is it 'must win'? Should we take Gillingham seriously, or are we better off out of this Cup?
So many unanswered questions in this episode of Across the Seas but Forever Bees.
Hope you enjoy!

Don't Panic!
Is what I'm telling myself after our most listless performance since...well, a few weeks ago.
But it's not in any way doom-or-gloom here at ASFB Towers. We're looking forward, with special guest Dan Herman, who brings incredible insight and a bit of perspective to this week's Pod.
Dan, Greville Waterman and I getting invested in a look at our longer term concerns for the club, as well as a discussion of what might turn the tide against a Wolves side coming off an equally stinging defeat.
I hope this podcast is entertaining and informing (and of course would love to hear from any Americans out there that would like to be part of our conversation).

Shows what I know. After our stomping by Newcastle, matches loomed against Brighton and Chelsea - and I'll admit I thought we might be in real trouble. 4 of 6 possible points in the bag, I'm feeling like it was 2 points dropped! We've come a long, long way baby.
I'm joined by Greville Waterman for a look back at a wonderful 5 days, and for an cautiously optimistic look ahead.

Looking forward and not backwards, Tom Conwell joins us from Philadelphia to sort out Brentford's problems. Problem is, there no real agreement amongst Tom, Greville or Tim of even what our best team is. A thoroughly fun conversation results, to take the gloom off any memories of last Sunday.
Agree or not, I think you find something to think about in this week's humble pod.

No wait...don't go yet! There was actually a lot going on for Brentford last Sunday, and a lot to chew over! Nearly every player in the match against Bournemouth requires some discussion (sorry David Raya!), and the imminent clash with a resurgent Newcastle is something to think/worry about as well.
Turns out that even a turgid draw with a team we should totally be beating leads to really interesting conversation. This is entirely due to the quality of our guest this week, the one and only Dustin Senor. Each week I've been blessed with extraordinary people to talk all things Bee, and Dustin was extraordinary.
I hope you give the pod a try, and I do hope you enjoy the conversation.

Hello to a Floridian Bee, who took time out from nailing plywood to his windows as a giant hurricane approached so as to discuss his journey to Brentford Football Club. Welcome Steven D'Amico!
We discuss the International Break, as it regards the many Bees that were on duty, and we look anxiously forward to what feels like another incredibly important match this coming Saturday.
I hope that you're enjoying the free-form rambling we engage in each week!

Our Brentford podcast is blessed to have as our really quite wonderful guest Lev Riley, who tells us about his journey through Covid with the Bees, about the growing Brentford community in and around New York City, and about how he's the first Moneyball-based fan! You'll have to listen to learn what that means....
Realism and disappointment in equal measures as we discuss the the Arsenal collapse on a early, somber and unique day at the Gtech, and attempt to answer the question, "how much of it was they're very, very good, and how much of it was we were very poor?"
