Across the Seas but Forever Bees - An American Brentford Podcast

The Jessie Marsch Tribute pod.  What an embarrassment he was for any American watching.

It felt good to discuss beating Leeds, to discuss the depth and quality in the team, and to look forward with some ambition to our match with the Saints.

We are honored to have Jonny Rosen on the podcast, all the way from very, very sunny California.  He tells us about his journey to becoming a Brentford fan and what makes this club the only one he could support.

From there the discussion turns to the 1-1 draws v. Everton and Palace, a discussion of our transfer dealings as the window 'slams shut' (as the transfer window always does), and a look forward to a Leeds team only even in the Premier League due to our generosity at the end of last season.

Do you think they'll show any gratitude by rolling over, as we did for them back in May?...

This week the discussion is all about a strange eight days, featuring a historic win...and a heartbreaking loss.   There is a lot to chew over after such monumental contests (oh, and Colchester as well)!

Greville Waterman is the one guest this week as we look forward to Everton and Crystal Palace in a busy week to come.

Episode 5 features our own Idaho Bee, who really does have a remarkable story to tell of following the Bees through thick and mostly thin.   A podcast of his story and his memories would be alone enough to entertain.  It was an honor and pleasure to speak with him.

But we have more!

Idaho and Greville Waterman and I discuss all things Brentford at a remarkable time in this great club's journey.   We start with a discussion of the newest member of the Brentford-Danish contingent Mikkel Damsgaard, and we take a look back at Leicester and ahead to ManU round out the podcast.

Our special guest is the incredible Taylor Dawson.  We start with her journey from Pittsburgh to Leicester and how she fell in love with Brentford, then discuss our picks for relegation favorites (and those others that will flirt with the drop).

The pod finishes with a preview of Leicester City this weekend.

Let the season begin!!

The Pod welcomes Tianchi for a discussion of his experiences around Griffin Park and at the Brentford Community Stadium, as well as a fascinating conversation as to how Brentford as a club resonates in China.

Along with Greville Waterman, we discuss the current squad after friendly wins versus Brighton and Arsenal, as we look forward to Real Betis and the first league match against Leicester.

Guest Greville Waterman discusses his superb new book "Just a Bus Stop in Hounslow" - and especially those parallels that exist between Brentford's remarkable rise through the leagues in the last decade as compared to the similar remarkable rise in the 1930s under Harry Curtis.

We conclude with a discussion on the roster as it is taking shape, and as we begin to look forward to Leicester City on Sunday 7 August.  Second Season Syndrome?  We'll have none of that!

An awkward first attempt at hosting a podcast.  Our guest for this sample is Elizabeth, who discusses some things Brentford and then football generally.
