We sit down to discuss THE ASSASSIN'S BLADE - the book of 5 prequel novellas in Sarah J Maas's THRONE OF GLASS series! We talk foreshadowing, fun character cameos, doomed first loves, and so much more! We might have finally gotten Tasia to cry on the podcast with this one, so buckle up - it's an emotional ride. SPOILER WARNING: While we are covering the other books in this series spoiler-free, due to the foreshadowing nature of these books we decided there was no way we could have a full discussion of it without talking about the implications of these events to the rest of the series. So if you haven't finished the entire THRONE OF GLASS series yet and don't wish to be spoiled, save this one for when you're done and join us next time for HEIR OF FIRE! Until then, don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes!
As always, thanks to Martha Riley for our art and Djempirical for our music.

New year, new huge series project! We begin our coverage of Sarah J Maas's THRONE OF GLASS series with the first two books: THRONE OF GLASS and CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! We talk confident heroines, love triangles, problematic representation, and so much more!
We're approaching this series a little differently than we have other series in the past; following this episode we will (typically) be covering one THRONE OF GLASS book per month, with one non-ToG book thrown in to round out our content -- this way, we get to play in this sandbox a little longer, and we'll have other book coverage out there for those that don't want to take this particular journey with us (though, we highly recommend you do!!). Please also note that we will be including a spoiler section for our ToG episode, so if you're reading along for the first time, you're good to listen to most of the episode - we'll let you know when we're about to wade into spoiler territory.
Stick around til the end where we announce what we're covering in the next couple episodes, and don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes!

Our FOLK OF THE AIR journey has come to an end with the novella HOW THE KING OF ELFHAME LEARNED TO HATE STORIES by Holly Black! This one is short and sweet, but we still manage to find a way to become unhinged and emotional, so worry not - it still packs a punch. We talk trauma, stories, and, of course, Cardan being a giant simp. We're sad to see this journey come to an end, but we've had a great time and we're excited for what's to come. Stick around to find out what that is, and don't forget to send us your pressing book questions for our end of the year mailbag episode! And rate and review us on iTunes so we can read your review on the show!

We are joined by returning guest Jessie to discuss book 3 in Holly Black's FOLK OF THE AIR series: THE QUEEN OF NOTHING! We talk personal and political power, relationship dynamics, redemption, giant snakes, and so much more! Once again, we tried to be chill about our Jurdan feelings, but honestly...it gets a little unhinged. What else did you expect? We're covering each book in this series spoiler-free, so even though this book marks the end of the main trilogy we do not spoil what happens in the Cardan novella - that's for next week. Join us next week to wrap up this series, and stay tuned for some scheduling news! We're also planning a mailbag episode for the end of the year, so if you have any book questions or topics you want us to talk about, just shoot us an email or a DM - and don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes! We'd love to read your emails on the show.
