The ultimate source of the Scriptures and their meaning is the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is inspired by the Holy Spirit, Who moved in people's hearts, to reveal to them what to write down. Everything you read in the Bible is trustworthy, because even though man wrote it down, the Holy Spirit inspired it. Any doctrine that's contrary to what God's Word says is false, because it's not of the Holy Spirit.
