Carly Phillips, Researcher-in-Residence, Wildfire and Carbon, lead author of the study, chats with Adam about a study conducted that showcases how mitigating forest fires can help lower Co2 emissions. Phillips acknowledges that the research group had found that B.C./Alaska forests could release roughly 12 gigatons of Co2 which is on scale with the emissions released by 2.6 billions cars annually.
