Towards the end of the hour, the round table shifts focus to the ‘Freedom Convoy’ that is intended to land in Victoria this weekend.
Ron Cheffins, UVic Professor Emeritus of Law and Political Science returns for the weekly Political Analysis segment with Adam as the duo chat Canadian politics. Cheffins provides a brief description of the political history of Ontario and speculates on the upcoming Ontario elections. Cheffins also acknowledges the results of surveys that outline the current standings of various political figures.
Brian Holowaychuk, Grouse Nest owner joins the program to talk about his on-going project that will result in a temporary housing for Ukrainian refugees. Holowaychuk shares that he has a goal of getting the property ready for Ukrainians in approximately two weeks including a campground and a refurbished resort that will hopefully support upwards of 100 refugees

Afterwards, Mulligan talks about a legal decision that has been reached pertaining to the ‘Rainforest Flying Squad’. The final case that Mulligan provides is about a speciality whiskey restaurant that was searched by police and had 242 bottle of whiskey seized.
Geoff Dickson, President and CEO, Victoria Airport Authority joins Adam to speak about the recent changes to international travel into Canada including removing the mandatory COVID-19 tests for fully vaccinated travelers. Dickson notes that this change will ultimately be a positive one for the tourism industry in Canada. Cadieux notes that the sales of electric vehicles are on the rise and the goals that Canada has for electric cars over the next ten years. Brendon Ogmundson, chief economist at the B.C. Real Estate Association speaks to Adam about the current state of the real estate market. Ogmundson notes that the supply and demand for housing is unbalanced and some of the factors that have contributed to the market. Ogmundson also acknowledges that Canadians should anticipate prices not to lower anytime soon.
