In the first hour of today’s show, Adam discussed the Fairy Creek blockaders going to court.
Stephen Dorsey, Co-founder of Friends of Vic High, joined Adam to discuss why they continue to advocate for equitable resources to be spent on facilities at Vic High. His group is now calling for the Ministry of Education to conduct an independent investigation into systemic racism and inequality at the Greater Victoria School Board.
In this hour, Adam opened up the phone lines to take calls from listeners.
In this hour, Erin Booth was grocery shopping last Sunday evening in Sidney, when suddenly she felt intense pressure in her head and weakness in her body. When she called 911 and requested an ambulance, she was told it would be a long wait. After half an hour waiting for an ambulance dispatcher to take her call, she hung up — because by then she’d already arrived at Saanich Peninsula Hospital by taxi. She spoke with Adam about her experience. Later, Dianne Donohue, owner of Daisy the dog, joined Adam to share the story of how Daisy was fatally attacked by two unidentified large dogs at Island View Beach on Thanksgiving day. Donohue is asking for the owner of these dogs to come forward.
