    In this hour, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation estimates that MPs who lost their seats or stood down before the election could get $3.3 million in “golden goodbyes”. Fifty-one MPs, who lost their seats or decided not to stand again, qualify for a severance cheque worth half their salary – some $92,900 or more. Adam spoke with Kris Sims, BC Director, Canadian Taxpayers Federation, about MP’s getting a very rich pension and severance pay. Later, Jennifer Heighton, founder of the Safe Schools Coalition B.C. and an elementary school teacher in Burnaby, joined the show to talk about the Delta variant in schools. She says there are no cases of Delta in her school but other schools have had some.
