Kate is a chronic illness sufferer and having had her life saved by the mental health benefits of the outdoors, became passionate about enabling others, with similar challenges, to find the same peace and inspiration that she did.

Using her experiences, frustrations, and perspective of a society often better equipped to look after the majorities, not minorities, Kate set about looking for ways to make a difference.

After being asked for various contributions as a writer, speaker and guest at events, festivals and conferences, Kate then realised an ambition to take the movement to the next level. Engaging with a passionate team of trustees and advisors, Adaptive Adventurers was born.
