For many, Rome is a once-in-a-lifetime destination. But for third- and fourth-year students at Kean University’s Michael Graves College—School of Public Architecture and the Robert Busch School of Design—Rome becomes an open-air classroom for an entire semester.
Together,Michael Graves College and Adhoc Voice actively organize and document this experience, inviting students to step into the role of modern-dayflâneurs. At each site they visit, they are challenged to uncover the “hidden 80%”—those details, stories, and spaces that often go unnoticed, yet define the true essence of Rome.
