چهارشنبه سوری

یک رشته از جشن های آریایی ها از اقوام هند و اروپایی٬ جشن های آتش است٬ یعنی جشن هایی که با افروختن آتش جهت سور و سرور و شادمانی آغاز و اعلام می شوند

یکی از این جشن ها در ایران چهارشنبه سوری است که در شب قبل از آخرین چهارشنبه سال برگزار می شود.ا

آتش در نظر ایرانیان مظهر روشنی٬ سلامت و تندرستی است

بیماریها٬ زشتی ها٬ بدی ها و همه آفات و بلایا در عرصه ی تاریکی جای دارند.ا

زیباترین و شاید قدیمی ترین آداب چهارشنبه سوری٬ آتش افروختن و پریدن از آن همراه با شادی و ترانه خوانی است

اینک تقریبا ً در تمام ایران شب چهارشنبه سوری توده هایی از بوته های خودروی بیابانی فراهم می آورند و آتش زده٬ زن و مرد و پیر و جوان از روی آن پریده و در هر پریدنی می گویند "زردی من از تو٬ سرخی تو از من." یعنی- زردی و بیماری و ناتوانی را از من بستان و سرخی و شادابی و تندرستی را که در خود داری به من ببخش

همچنین رایج است که آهنگ های روز را با صدای بلند در کنار آتش پخش کنند و همراه پریدن از ترقه و فشفشه نیز استفاده کنند.ا

یکی از مراسم بسیار مورد توجه شب چهارشنبه سوری٬ فراهم کردن آجیل مشکل گشاست

گفته می شود هر کس که مشکل و گرفتاری داشته باشد این آجیل هفت مغز را تهیه و به عنوان نذر میان دیگران پخش می نماید تا مشکل اش حل و رفع شود.ا

در این روز مردم برخی از شهرهای ایران بر پشت بام خانه خویش می روند و کوزه ای آب ندیده با خود بالا برده از آنجا به زمین می افکنند و می شکنند

عقیده بر آن است که بلاها و قضایای بد را در کوزه متراکم کرده اند و چون بشکند آن قضا و بلا دفع شود.ا

"Wednesday Party" (or Charshanbeh Suri)

A series of feasts of Indo-European origin are known as the "Fire Feasts," meaning feasts that start their celebration by making a fire.

One of these feasts in Iran is the "Wednesday Party" (or Charshanbeh Suri) which is held the night before the last Wednesday of the year.

In the minds of Iranians, fire is the symbol of brightness and health.

The sickness, ugliness, wickedness, and all pests and misfortunes belong to the range of darkness.

The most beautiful and maybe the oldest Charshanbeh Suri custom, is making a fire and jumping through it with joy and singing.

Nowadays almost everywhere in Iran, at Charshanbeh Suri, piles of hardy desert bushes are collected and set on fire, then men and women and elderly and young people jump through it, saying "My yellowness from you, your redness from me." Which means, "take sickness and weakness away from me, and give me the health and freshness inside you."

Also it's popular to play loud modern music beside the fire, and use firecrackers in the meantime.

One of the most considered rituals of the Charshanbeh Suri night is providing the Moshkel Gosha (or "Problem Solver") nuts.

It's told that anyone with trouble would prepare this mix of seven kinds of nuts and distribute among others as votive, to solve their problem.

Today in some cities, people go up to their rooftops and take a dry jug with themselves, to throw down and break.

There is a belief that misfortune and evil is pressed in the jug, and when it breaks, they will be disposed of and cleared.
