Diane Gilman was stuck in a false belief. She calls it reverse sexism where she thought she needed a man. She relied on a man to"bring home the bacon." Until one day she had a light bulb moment and realized she could make things happen for herself. She regrets all the time she spent waiting for a man to make things happen.
Diane now encourages women to age differently by being an example. Diane created a very successful business out of something missing in the market even when others said "That's a bad idea, older women don't wanna wear jeans." She no longer waits for a man.
A fashion rule-breaker with millions of fans, the charismatic pearl-haired, "Queen of Jeans," Diane Gilman is 77 years young. An inspiration for women embracing their third act, Diane is a tele-retailing legend who's just getting started, and not uncommonly, recognition for Diane came later in life with the launch of DG2 Jeans on HSN. Her latest book, "Too Young to be Old," is a compelling take on conquering life's challenges to live a "third act" filled with dream-catching and fulfillment.

Did you know that when hormone replacement therapy, for menopause, had terrible outcomes, they stopped teaching the practice to our physicians? There's about a decade where they didn't teach it and didn't discuss it. Therefore your physician may not know current or best practices. Women can't forget about it so why did doctors get to?
Dr. Micahel Green is a board-certified OB/GYN and the Chief Medical Officer of Winona and he's been practicing during the evolution of hormone therapy for menopause. He's here today to talk about hormone replacement, its evolution, and current-day solutions.

What happens in the third act and what is the third act? Think of your passion or what you enjoy. How great would it be to use it to your advantage? In the first act of our life, we are too young to know what it is maybe. In the second act of our lives, we are too busy to pursue it. And finally, the third act when everyone encourages you to live a slower pace of life and smell the roses.
Diane Gilman is in her third act and excited to dive into what makes her happy. It's what she's naturally good at...communication! She wants to be an example there's still progress to be made in that third act.

Jackie Carroll, our virtual reality " Mind Immersion" creator, is back to encourage you! She shared a sweet story about her father and children utilizing virtual reality. You see Jackie preloaded locations into her father's VR set so that he didn't get overwhelmed with the technology of it. Then her children were able to meet her father in those spaces with headsets and they could explore together.
During Covid, it was tough because many people were isolated and it was easy to experience depression. However, with a little technology, it was easier than ever to stay connected and make memories. They felt like they were in person! It's so easy to trick the brain.
Jackie has seen elder populations have their spirits rise when using virtual reality to meditate, visit places from their childhood, OR travel to somewhere they have always wanted to go but may not be able to travel easily anymore. Virtual reality is a viable way to connect with those far away and to feel great!

Jackie Carroll, the founder of Mind Immersion, is here explaining virtual reality and how to use it to your benefit for personal development! She also touched on virtual reality vs. the MetaVerse. We all know meditation is a great tool for accomplishing your goals. But what if you have too much chaos around you? No problem. Slip on your VR headset and get ready to meditate where ever you choose. Imagine asking a genie to take you somewhere you find most relaxing to meditate.
But what if you have a hard time imagining things? Again, no problem. Jackie offered open-eye meditation as a solution. You can put on your headset and choose to keep your eyes open or closed. You ultimately want your brain to buy that you were there. So whichever way is most effective for that is best. You see once your brain has seen it, it believes it whether you were really there or virtually. There is a lot of research that supports this practice. Listen to the full episode to learn how you too can use virtual reality to your benefit!
A published author and entrepreneur with a diverse background in film, business, and sales, Jackie Carroll is a natural-born connector who loves building incredible teams capable of launching and growing successful companies. Her most recent project is a new venture offering immersive employee engagement experiences in virtual reality (VR)—designed specifically to help people live their best lives! She hosts her own podcast, Finding Your Genie and speaks at conferences and events all over the world. Jackie's imaginative vision, keen eye for opportunity, resilience in the face of uncertainty, and unwavering ability to motivate others continue to make her a standout among competitors
In her free time, Jackie enjoys playing tennis, meditating, and traveling. She loves engaging in activities that promote personal development and looks forward to sharing this enthusiasm through her upcoming VR platform. Jackie and her husband are proud parents to three amazing kids and four beloved (and spoiled) dogs.

How great can it get? This is the question you should be asking yourself. Clients, with the help of Debbie Barker; my guest today, can release those lower-level emotions to get them to that point. Have you heard of lower-level emotions? Worry, doubt, sadness, fear, dread, these emotions are lower level and can get stuck in the body and can even manifest into health issues. Debbie uses many modalities to release those emotions and heal her clients. She was even kind enough to share a secret about our big toe! Try it and let me know the result!
Debbie has been married since 1980 and has 2 "adult" children. While sitting in a Body Works class she learned how to align the spine using the energy in the body. Wanting to learn more about energy, she became a Reiki Practitioner in 2004. She has learned other energy modalities as well. During your session, she listens to her guides and uses the energy modalities that your body needs.

In life, we are all aging so you have to give it all you've got each and every day. I want you to consider if you just do one percent better each day at the end of 2023 you will be 365% better!!
There are so many advantages that I have shared over the last two years on this podcast. Each day we wake up - we've aged. This podcast is for everyone breathing and waking up each morning. And each day we need to consider our mindset. If you are in a bad mood think about how you may perceive your family's actions. Think of how you could misinterpret what a situation actually was. Our mindset affects our perception. At the end of the day live life for you.
If you are looking to make a difference this year, won't you join me on my Neora Team?

Somehow, we become parents and lose our identity in the process. All of a sudden we are just Lil Suzie's mom.
The days are long and the years are short as most people put it. Megan Reyes is my guest - curator of The (Mostly) Managed Mommy Facebook group where moms can have vulnerable conversations about the daily trials in the trenches of motherhood. We don't want to air our dirty laundry or frustrations on our personal feed but it is nice to know there is a safe place to go to seek support or advice. In a world full of judgment and Pinterest, this Facebook group is for moms in any stage of life facing all struggles.
Including the struggle of losing your identity. Megan encourages mamas to know who they are and set an example for our children for future generations. Let them see you resolve conflict, be frustrated, and be flexible when plans do play out as they were supposed to. Yes mom can do alot but it's not all on mom, dad and children can help too. We always hear "You can't pour from an empty cup." You still have to do the things that bring you joy so you can in turn pour into your family! And you want to still have time with friends and explore hobbies because the last thing you want to do is panic from an empty nest when the kids have grown up and are off doing their own thing. You want to be a (mostly) managed mommy!
