As we are looking forward to both the New Year and a new decade, I have found myself getting frustrated with what I'm not hearing God tell me about our future. Today, as I sat talking it through with Him (and moaning if I'm honest), He simply said to me to make a list of what He HAS said and done to lead us where He wast us to go. This totally shifted my mindset to one of hope and faith in what He IS doing.

There are times when the circumstances of our life look great and everything is going well. Then there are periods where life seems more difficult and it's hard to move ahead.

I was in that place and as I asked Jesus about it, He took me on an adventure where He reminded me to live FROM the victory He has bought. As I did, life looked 'do'able again and I was excited to go into the day.

In John 8:32 Jesus says that we will know the Truth and the Truth will set us free. 

I've been making declarations for years. Taking the Word and speaking it over my life, so that I experience life (Pro 18:21). This week God gave me a whole new level of understanding about how the Truth can literally set us free from the thoughts, beliefs and mindsets that have been holding us back out whole life!

We all go through hard journeys - it's the nature of life. Jesus even told us this would happen. 

But He also promised us that He would be with us. In John 16:33 He says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

We are walking through a hard journey right now and Jesus is showing us how doing it with Him, makes it easier. Be encouraged that Jesus is giving you victory as you walk with Him every day.

People can be frustrating! It's just the nature of humanity. Jesus gave me this key verse in Philippians that invites us to hold people in our hearts and see them through God's eyes. 

The way Paul actively goes after God's viewpoint and then how he stewards their lives, is inspirational. It's a big key as to how to get God's perspective on each person we have the opportunity to meet and do life with.

"If only...

I had enough money in the bank, everything would be OK

then everything would be OK"

So often we have a picture in our head of the answer to a problem that we think will relieve all of our stress and bring us peace. We work towards that solution. We dream about that solution. We pray for that solution.

But Jesus tells us that He is the Prince of Peace and that our 'solution' comes from Him and not our outside circumstances being resolved.

There are things that are common to all of us like being in relationships and contributing to society. Yet we each do those common things quite differently according to how we were created to think and what our giftings and life experiences are.   

Take an area of your life that God is highlighting at the moment and ask Him what it looks like for YOU. The answer He gives you will set you free to do things your way.

There are times when we feel emotions and experience the world in a way that isn't our 'usual' self. Sometimes it's because we're not looking after ourselves well, but sometimes it's an attack on what your most valuable gift is from God.
