William Williams was a signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut. The son of a minister and a homemaker, William trained for the ministry and for the law but pursued a career as a merchant. He was a vocal supporter of the cause of independence, including being a member of the Sons of Liberty. This is his story.
