On 17 August, the 44th SADC Summit convened in Harare, Zimbabwe, under the theme, "Promoting Innovation to Unlock Opportunities for Sustained Economic Growth and Development towards an Industrialised SADC." The Summit was attended by the Heads of State and Government, or their representatives has been one of the best attended in recent years.
