Africa4Palestine has expressed profound sadness at the untimely death of former Minister Nathi Mthethwa and extended its deepest condolences to his family, friends and those mourning his loss. Mthethwa was remembered as a steadfast supporter of Palestine's struggle for dignity, justice and self-determination. During his tenure as Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, he notably backed the boycott of Israel, withdrawing support for Miss South Africa's participation in an Israeli pageant and helping halt Israeli sporting events in South Africa.
