Female cheetah Kisaru returning to her cubs with the results of another succesful hunt, a young Thomson’s gazelle.
Kisaru, resting with her six beautiful cubs on a termite mound but still alert to threats.
Kisaru’s cubs didn’t stay still for very long! Ever playful, one taking on the challenge of a tree climb!
A few months on and looking much older, but Kisaru is still hunting for the cubs.
Equipment & Packing for a Photography Safari
Alan also has a blog post on his own website about equipment and packing for a photography safari. Click here to visit the blog on Alan’s site.
You can use the links below to find and purchase some of the packing accessories we use on photography safaris. As an Amazon Associate, we will earn some commission from qualifying purchases but it won’t cost you any extra.
UK Times Newspaper “Ferrari Safari”
We discussed the content of this article in the UK Times Newspaper. Although we concur with the principles of it, we also also find it equally frustrating, an opportunity lost and in conclusion, rather lazy journalism.
Unfortunately, the full article is behind a pay wall but here is the link anyway in case you already subscribe or have alternative means of access.
Wide Angle Lens Wildlife Photography
In questions to the podcast, Kaleel discussed getting close up to wildlife using a wide angle lens, either by using a remote shutter release or by getting very close to the subject. It’s not something we do in Africa but it is something we have done here in the UK.
The Book…
Alan reviewed “Pathfinder” by Janesta Pulella.
Unfortunately it seems to be a difficult book to acquire outside of South Africa. We’re not sure of international shipping but it’s possible to do what Alan did and arrange delivery to a location while in South Africa. Click here to visit the publisher’s website.
