Radicalization isn't a mental health condition.  The brain is oddly doing exaclty what it evolved to do, it just has badinformation and coping mechanisms that makes something that would otherwise be terrible seem noble and righteous.

People with privilage have to go out of their way to see the injustices first hand to get a clear picture of reality.  The brain preferes to seek out happy things instead so it self selects from people who make you feel sad.  This creates a false sense of reality and causes discomfort when the this reality is shown to be false and reality is much more unjust than youd like to believe.  You can either face the reality and accept it and work to make reality closer to you previously believed reality, or fight it and sty in your little bubble actively blaming the oppressed for lying.

Most older Americans, especially white older Americans think about heritage in entirely eugenics terms even if they aren't racist at all.  And they don't realize it until they are challenged about it and some of them are never challenged sometimes until very late in life.  This eugenics language may be passive in some but can help radicalize others to active racism, which is why we need to be more aware of its existance and make people aware of it.
