The multiverse is getting out of hand. It's just too much to keep track of. And we're tired. So very tired. So a pruning is in order. Variants and alternates need to go. The only thing that matters to keep this cast in tact is the anchor Chunk. So After the Credits will scour the void, with surprise cameos, Easter eggs, references and spoilers like: Longlegs, Robot Dreams, Kneecap, Monk, Comicon talk, breakfast chimichangas, and Trap! And with maximun effort we'll face off with versions of ourselves that like and dislike and hate and adore and criticize and flatter the latest Deadpool sequel, Deadpool & Wolverine. But which versions of ourselves are right? Did we love the irreverent self-aware humor and vulgar sensibiltiies, or did we feel it lacking in a few core story and structural elements? Does it matter? Can both things exist at the same time? Tune in for a madcap meandering conversation through the trash bin of the multiverse. 'Nuff said!
To understand who they were, you have to go back to another time After the Credits. When the world was powered by the black Chunk. They built casts of straw. Gone now, swept away. Their hosts talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. Their world crumbled. A whirlwind of looting, a firestorm of fear. Men began to feed on men. Without Chunk, they were nothing.
Only those mobile enough to scavenge from the remains of Civil War and Animal Well, brutal enough to pillage Babes and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, savage enough to devour I Saw the TV Glow and hot dogs, would survive. The wastelanders took over, ready to wage war for a Chunk. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary casts were battered and smashed. But arose YumChunks. In the roar of the mic, they talked about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. And it was here, in this blighted place, that they learned to live again.
There's also some listener email. Okay byeeeeeee!
YumChunks knows how to take a hit. One blow after another. We can do a rough and tumble fall. We can handle a roll. Attach the squibs. Light us on fire. We've seen it all. The Fallout television series on Amazon. Monkey Man. Abigail. Even the most dangerous crazy stuff like anniversary showings of Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Without a safety net. So The Fall Guy is nothing we can't handle. The brand of action comedy, flirty romance, and weird meta self-awareness is in our wheelhouse. We can even do it blindfolded, backwards, and while reading listener emails. And after every bad movie, frustrating remake, or dangerous Google, we'll always give that thumbs up.
Bonus Math Problem
(Godzilla x Kong) / (Mothra + Rodan/Ghidorah) = ?
YumChunks was on a podcast with Godzilla in the Amazon when they were researching movies right before they went off the air. What happened to them? All possibilities spin out before us. The web of stories only grows more enshrouded with each thread: the pet comedy Strays, the X-Men '97 animated revival series, a mysterious "dreamchunk". What does it all mean? How exactly is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire supposed to be pronounced? Only the prophecy of the After the Credits tribe will reveal the truth. But not before an uncanny detour into Madam Web. These three spider-girls, and King Kong, and Ben Parker, and Jia, and Dan Stevens, and Bryan Cranston will rise together or fall alone. Their chunks connect them all.
When there's something strange, in the neighborhood, who you gonna listen to? YumChunks! The guys strap on their proton cast, and get to bustin', in this After the Credits call. They trap an unruly discussion of Ricky Stanicky, get ectoplasm all over classic TV sitcom Frasier, and get possessed by Unicorn Overlord. But when an ancient threat to our world emerges, they have to cross their streams to talk about the sci-fi adventure comedy legacy reboo- er, legacy sequel... uuh, sequel rehash, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The spectrometer nostalgic reading is off the charts! Can it capture the spectre of fun and humor from the original? or the previous one? or that one other one? You'll just have to answer the call to find out. Once again, Chunkin' makes us feel good!

A beginning is a very delicate time. Know then, that it is the year 2024. In this time, the most precious substance in the Universe is the chunk melange. The chunk extends life. The chunk expands consciousness.
In this time, After the Credits casts for freedom. And the trials of the YumChunks are many. They welcome an offworlder, Sam Stovold, to guide them. But the signs are all there: the South Korean film Alienoid, the Sega Game Gear game Tazmania and the Search for the Sea Birds, HBO's True Detective: Night Country, and Final Fantasies- both Theatrerhythmed and Rebirthed.
The final test to claim the title Kwisatz Haderach and fulfill the prophecy is to discuss the much anticipated Dune: Part Two. Does this film live up to its epic pedigree and fulfill the 3 year promise of Part One? Or does it sift away like sand through the teeth of the Shai-Hulud? Only by listening will you find the answers. As well as lengthy chili/noodle discussions.
Once again, the chunk must flow, for he who controls the chunk controls the universe.
The YumChunks was a Youtube channel known for the show Korracast, circa 2012 - 2014. In 2018 the channel started the After the Credits podcast, discussing movies, television, and other forms of contemporary media. The podcast stopped production in 2023...

You listened to the podcast! Your path now leads to the Gates of Doom!
The world is veiled in darkness. The wind stops, the sea is wild, and the earth begins to rot. The listeners wait, their only hope, a prophecy... 'When the world is in darkness Three YumChunks will come...' After a long journey, three young podcasters arrive, each holding an OPINION. And so their podcast began. They felt overwhelmed by the great tasks destiny had placed upon them, discussing the new Final Fantasy XVI, season 2 of The Bear, and Past Lives. They did not know the true significance of the their mini discussion of Asteroid City, Nepalese documentaries, and moving to Santa Cruz. But luckily a special warrior of light, Kev Young, was there to accompany them on their journey. The time for their movie review had come.
The studio that once, long ago, shone with a light so brilliant. Pixar's latest animated feature, Elemental. Does this film live up to the legacy? Does the world building make any sense? Do the characters champion that light? Does the film have significant cultural, racial, and social implications that may not be fully intended? Do these rhetorical questions stretch the limit of this already loose connection to the four elemental crystals from Final Fantasy? The time to CAST off the veil of darkness and listen once more to the light is now...
YumChunks! Aah-Aah, Saviors of the universe!
After the Credits has to go back into the past. Go back and save the world. But entering the Chunk Force can have multiversal ramifications! Who knows what universe they're gonna end up in. A universe of live Cake shows. A universe of High on Life. A Universe of Universal Nintendo World. And a universe of... Japan... It doesn't have to make sense! But the darkest (Snyder)verse awaits as they attempt to fix the latest DC cinematic space-time anomaly, The Flash. References abound as the guys slurp up this plate of spaghetti and figure out if The Flash is the speedster Warner Bros. hopes it is, or if it phases out of theatres before you know it.
YumChunks! Aaah-Aaah, They'll save every one of us!
