After the Credits

All right, let's do this one last time. Our name is YumChunks. We had a show about Legend of Korra and for years we've been the one and only After the Credits. We're pretty sure you know the rest. We talked about a bunch of movies, fell in love, talked about TV, and then talked about movies some more... and more and more and more.

Look, we're a podcast. We talk about Zelda cooking. We talk about Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Blackberry, and Fool's Paradise. We give you the Coachella 2023 rundown. We have an excellent theme song. So-so hosts. I mean, we've sounded worse. But after everything, we still love talking about Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Who wouldn't? So no matter how many hits we take, we always find a way to come back. There's only one YumChunks. And you're listening to them.

Charge your blasters and pack your zargnuts. We're on a mission to save this podcast, and nothing is gonna get in our way. We're gonna be exploring the weird television regions of The Jury, experimenting on the game The Last Clockwinder, and maybe having a few run-ins with some other big screen creatures like Air and Fast X. But our final destination is James Gunn's closing Marvel sci-fi adventure Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Does the third entry in this franchise continue the wacky fun, humor, and action the series is known for? Does it get darker, a bit more mature, and conclude the series on a high note? The fantasy adventure/comedy based on the classic table top game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and the wacky vampire Nick Cage action romp, Renfield. We packed these 2 hours full of our opinions! But that's not all, cause a wonderful listener email prompts us to re-examine our Mario takes, as well as have a chunky discussion on critical discourse in general!

One day the kingdom of the peaceful YumChunk people was invaded by The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a movie famous for its black magic. The quiet, peace-loving Chunk people were turned into mere podcasters, voices, and even field horsehair plants, and After the Credits fell into ruin.

The only one who can undo the magic spell on the Chunk People and return them to their normal selves is the Princess Chunkstool, the daughter of the Chunk King. Unfortunately she is presently in the hands of Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis, Netflix's Beef, and The Afterparty.

Ryan, Chewie, and Sean, the heros of the story (maybe) set out on a quest to analyze The Super Mario Bros. Movie, in the way that only three grown men discussing an animated kids movie can, and restore the fallen kingdom of YumChunks.
