I love to celebrate and give honor to all the veterans that have served our American forces throughout the years. I am so thankful for the sacrifice they made. Veteran's Day always reminds me of my grandfather, who was a WWII Vet. There is one story in particular that he told me as a freshman in high school that still has me shaking my head.

Between getting married, going on my honeymoon, and having a serious case of jetlag, I've missed 3 weeks of Cowboys football. But with help of my producer Josh, we're getting you all caught up on the action!

Just like we do everyday in the 5 o'clock hour, we're celebrating! Today, I celebrated with my producer Josh as he and his wife just got a new car! And did I mention under budget?? Also celebrating with a friend who thought she was in for a nightmare at the salon after too much bleach, but her stylist worked a miracle!

This past weekend a new album was released called "Jesus is King."

It wasn't an artist that we play here on KCBI, in fact, it was from an artist that most of us would hear the name and laugh at the possibility of it all.

But for anyone familiar with pop culture, Kanye West is  a rapper, a fashion designer, husband to celebrity reality star Kim Kardashian. He's been known for explicit music, fashion influence and his ego.

But he has recently been getting a lot of headlines for becoming a Christian. When late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel asked him if he was a Christian Music artist, Kanye's response, "I'm a Christian Everything."

There's nothing worse than when someone tells us "Just go in your socks!" when you're not prepared, right? Maybe you've got mismatched socks or a hole in the toe. For me, it was at the gym and my feet we're sweaty. But as my friend explained it was to have the ability to discern our balance that we lose with the padding of our shoes. This led to a beautiful analogy that I think applies to all of our spiritual lives!
