Dr. Emre Kazim is the Co-CEO and Co-founder of Holistic AI, an AI governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) start-up focusing on software for auditing and risk management of AI systems. His PhD in philosophy and undergrad in science cleared a path for his role as a Research Fellow at the University College London's computer science department. When drafting AI governance policies, some general policies to consider are transparency, accountability, fairness, and explainability — meaning AI systems should aim to be explainable, so users can understand how it works.
