This week, Ashley and Amber are a little disappointed in their goals. Ashley found the writing of crossword puzzles to be harder than anticipated, while Amber gets irrationally irritated at hand lettering exercises.

Ashley and Amber are back after a bout of sickness with new 2020 goals and confusion over why the past months goals were so hard. Ashley talks about the mysterious struggles of writing anything at all, while Amber goes down a low self-esteem rabbit hole over the idea of sending an email to a guitarist.

A very special day indeed - Amy Spalding, author of six and a half books including The Summer of Jordi Perez and new novel We Used to Be Friends, is guest host in this week's podcast! She talks all about writing: how it can be fun, awful, easy, hard, and everything in between. Then, she brings up a musical and Amber insists on spending many minutes discussing Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years.

Ashley is back! She talks about the hardships of writing during a family vacation and her excitement for writing goals for the future, while Amber talks about a peacock embroidery she made! Because Amber doesn't care for literal New Years Resolutions, she shares her vague yet specific declarations of intent for the new year, while Ashley comes up with more concrete overall goals for the year to come.

This week, Ashley talks about the end of her many hours acting class, writing Christmas cards, and a caper caper that leaves Amber speechless. All the while, Amber spent her week mostly not doing her goal but she feels pretty good about it.

A happy week! Ashley is very busy with her many, many hours long acting class but gains a lot of insight (including her apparent baking love and 35 year marriage). While Amber finds a shocking ton of happiness from having two people over for crafts and realizing her Ireland plans are not so crazy after all.

This week, Amber and Ashley technically did their goals but also technically did a lot of nothing over Thanksgiving break. Amber is much less morose than normal other than a brief discussion of the anxiety that comes with free time and Ashley made her list of agents and is ready to take the next not-so-fun-but-sadly-necessary step in her agent seeking goals.

Ashley returns! After a literal tour across the globe, she updates us on many of her goals in addition to her latest reading adventure. Amber clarifies her previous failure comments, then talks about how she completely failed to plan a party. Plus, more fun tales of Ashley's mom!

This week, Ashley is still traveling the world, so Amber does a little solo episode about why she's a failure. That sounds dramatic, but she talks about why she gave up her dream of acting and why she thinks it's important to talk about the goals that don't work out.
