Fi: Aamu Helsingissä oli kylmä ja kirkas.
En: The morning in Helsinki was cold and bright.

Fi: Lumi peitti tienoot ja teki maisemasta kauniin kuin talvikortista.
En: Snow covered the surroundings and made the landscape look as beautiful as a winter postcard.

Fi: Aino seisoi talonsa edessä, hengitti syvään ja katseli taivasta.
En: Aino stood in front of her house, took a deep breath, and looked at the sky.

Fi: Tänään oli suuri päivä.
En: Today was a big day.
