    2. Nathan: Harley Quinn: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour #3 (Hetrick cover)

    Segment: Interview with Ram V!

    1. First of all, congrats: The Swamp Thing is officially getting a second season! (Pause) Now, this was initially announced as a 10-issue series. Did you always have more stories in the tank if it were to get renewed, or did you expand your original plans when you got confirmation of more issues?
    2. You recently mentioned on Twitter that you're drawn to writing characters who give us "a unique window unto humanity, people — why we are the way that we are." What is it about the Swamp Thing - and Levi Kamei, in particular - that lends itself to telling those kinds of stories?
    3. Themes of familial duty and colonialism have been an especially strong component of the last few issues. Was that part of your original conception of the series, or is that something that has evolved as the book has continued?
    4. Mike Perkins and Mike Spicer have been creating some really incredible imagery, particularly when it comes to the delineation of the flashbacks in recent issues. Meanwhile, Aditya Bidikar has made Swampy's voice feel like it's rumbling right off the page. What has that collaboration process been like with all three?
    5. Levi’s brother Jacob has been teased from the start and makes an appearance in the latest issue, what makes their brotherhood so important to the narrative itself?
    6. While it was unclear what generated this plant-fueled apocalypse in Future State, Levi's reunion with Jacob suggests that Hedera's corrosive influence on the Green may be leading to this potential outcome. Is this an off base theory?!
    7. We’re obviously thrilled to hear that this story will be continuing. Anything you want to tease/any foreboding words of warning for the reader about what’s ahead?  (Maybe: Might we see a return to the world of Future State: Swamp Thing?)

Segment: Interview with Scott Snyder about his ComiXology titles Night of the Ghoul (Francesco Francavilla, Andworld design), Clear (Francis Manapul, Andworld design), and We Have Demons (Jonathan Glapion, Dave McCaig, Tom Napolitano)! Interview at 11 a.m. Friday!

    1. Scott, thanks for being on the AIPT Comics podcast, this is your 7th time on the show, always a pleasure____. To start, you’ve got Clear, Night of the Ghoul, and We Have Demons all out this month, what made these 3 the best of the 8 planned titles at Comixology as the first to release?
    2. All three works feel incredibly new, fresh, and maybe even a new gear for your work compared to previous years, was there anything you were able to do under comiXology as far as “breaking rules” in comics storytelling you go to do here?
    3. What went into the strategy of doing 3 series a month?
    4. Something I adore about your writing is your creation stories, you’ve done a few, and We Have Demons has a great one, heck night of the ghoul has an origin that feels mythical, what inspires you to tackle creation myths?
    5. We Have Demons is so compelling, in part, because of the way it recontextualizes faith. It actually opens with a warning at the start of the book, was this warning always part of the plan, or did this come in later?
    6. Two of these books are penciled and colored by the artist (Manapul and Francavilla), do you find books colored and drawn by 1 artist come out different in any way?
    7. Was there a specific movie or director that inspired Night of the Ghoul?
    8. You’re doing some amazing work on your Substack with classes too, I recently watched the course talking about Donny Cates’ Venom. Do you find yourself analyzing comics even when you’re reading for pleasure?
    9. Favorite scary novel, movie, comic?

Boulet Brothers takeover Heavy Metal on October 27th issue #311

    1. To start, how did this Halloween takeover start and how long has it been in the works?
    2. Boulets! You’ve done a wild supervillain challenge on Dragula and now you’ve set your sights on Heavy Metal! What are your backgrounds with comics? Is this an after-lifelong love for you?
    3. Steve, how did you approach balancing out the creatives you chose telling these stories, many of whom are making their comics debut? (Alaska, Katya, Danhausen)
    4. There’s a pulpy scrappiness to these stories. Fans who like Heavy Metal for its graphic nature will dig these stories but, I must ask, was there anything you couldn’t do or show?
    5. It’s so fun to have you two playing the kind of Cain and Abel in this house of mystery. How was it getting to play Crypt-Keepers for this issue? And did you have input on designing your fabulous looks in each tale?
    6. I’m so into your story, “the Vault of Saumagotha.” It’s like we pick up on this like it’s issue 75 of a long-running series and you two are arcane superheroes! Do you have a big backstory in your heads for your comic alter egos? Will we see this version of the Boulet Brothers again?
    7. Steve! Switching gears to an entirely different universe, Darkhold Alpha just dropped. How was it getting to dive into the horrific side of Marvel?

Segment: Interview: Ben Percy - WEREWORLD with Francesco Francavilla out digitally via NeoText on September 14!

    1. Werewold is out September 14th via neotextcorp.com, Nathan and I have read it, we’re excited for others to read it...ben percy thank you for being on the AIPT comics podcast. I think it’s fair to say Nathan and I couldn’t put this down, for those who don’t know what is Wereworld?
    2. How did the partnership with Neotext come about? What made it the right place for this story?
    3. It feels very much born out of the pandemic, becoming a werewolf is similar to the uncertainty of a virus in a pandemic, when was this story conceived? Did it evolve over time?
    4. What was the working process like with Francavailla?
    5. I’ve been on a kick listening to horror scores lately. Do you listen to anything in particular to get you in the mood to write spooky stuff?
    6. Wolverine has heavily used vampires, we have werewolves in Wereworld, are you a Halloween/monster junky?
    7. I honestly believe Wereworld would be an excellent limited series TV show, was the month to month story structure your approach from the start?
    8. Is it X lives of Wolverine or Ten lives of Wolverine?
