Traditional buildings made of steel and concrete emit huge amounts of carbon dioxide. If we would use timber as mass material in buildings, we could easily transform cities from being a significant source of carbon emissions into a carbon storage system functioning in healthy synergy with global forests. In this Lets Talk Change edition, Alan Organschi, Director of the newly inaugurated Yale University Building Project LAB and Director of Innovation at the Bauhaus der Erde as well as Emanuel Heisenberg, CEO of ecoworks, talk about how to achieve fundamental and systemic changes in the construction and building sector in order to truly mitigate climate change.
