Albany Law School presented a group of standout graduates and friends with some well-deserved recognition on September 23, 2021.

The Grand Honors Awards, presented by the National Alumni Association, is a law school tradition typically held around Reunion week.

With this year’s in-person reunion celebration is pushed to the spring due to COVID-19 concerns, the Grand Honors Awards were celebrated online and with a small, in-person crowd.

This episode we are speaking with Visiting Assistant Professor Dr. Alexandra R. Harrington.

She teaches Public International Law, International Organizations, International Human Rights Law, International Business Transactions, and two new courses this semester, Indigenous and Aboriginal Law and a first-year seminar on intergenerational and intragenerational equity and justice here at Albany Law School. 

She is an international law expert and has worked a great deal in conflict, post-conflict and peacekeeping topics.

With that she will be sharing her thoughts with us about the current withdrawal of American and International forces from Afghanistan and the legal ramifications of the situation.

We are also talking about a developing situation in Brazil affecting indigenous peoples.
