God wants to speak to you through His word:

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

-‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What is a time where God spoke to you in an unforgettable way through His word?

4 common ways that the Lord is speaking to you:

1. His word

2. His Holy Spirit

3. His People

4. Your Circumstances

THE LORD WANTS TO SPEAK TO YOU!

Application: Get in a house church and let’s keep God’s word together to fulfill the great open door of the church of Philadelphia.

“Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.”

- Revelation 3:10 ESV

Application:

1. Name the race God has set before you?

2. What training are you doing to run that race?

3. Tell yourself it’s worth it because of the joy set before you.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

- Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV

Application:

1. Name a Bible promise you would like to experience.

2. What did the Bible guy have to endure to experience it?

3. What are you ready to endure to inherit that promise?

“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus...”

- Romans 15:4-5 ESV

Application:

1. Name the character you would like to have.

2. What endurance do you need to have to develop that character?

3. Start today.

“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

- Romans 5:3-5 ESV

“The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I turned not backward.”
