In the seemingly unending Alex Murdaugh saga, he has now been indicted on 22 federal charges ranging from fraud to money laundering. These charges lay out decades of theft from clients. His friend Cory Fleming was also indicted. Fleming was the lawyer that Murdaugh recommended the Satterfield Sons use to 'sue himself'. Fleming struck a deal early with prosecutors, and the plea was in place before the information dropped. Murdaugh's lawyers have already indicated that they believe the federal charges will resolve, ie., Murdaugh wants a deal.
