Alice in Muggleland

Alice and Billius discuss Chapter 6: Gildroy Lockhart. Alice learns about correspondence in the Magic world, lets us know what she really thinks of the new DADA professor, and her shock at how Hermoine feels about her. A listener pointed out an issue at the beginning of the podcast (Billius would like to remind you he is Horned Serpent and not Hufflepuff). She learns how to say Herbology too. You can also listen to her try to pick a fight with Billius, but as we know, that's every episode.

Chamber of Secrets Chapter 5: The Whomping Willow. Alice and Billius talk about the controlled chaos of the Weasley family, Treacle, killer trees, comedy tropes, and not being mad just being disappointed and being disappointed. Billius tries to explain to Alice (who is a Gryffindor) how Gryffindors are perceived as reckless and she tries to insult him by calling him a Hufflepuff (He's Horned Serpent thank you very much!).

2 bonus clips from the recording were dropped onto Patreon for our patreon subscribers, and this episode was sent to Patreon waaaay early so if you want early episodes you will get them waaaaaay early via Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/vicariousmuggleland. On Patreon they will be put out at least 24 hours before everyone else gets them no matter when they go out.

Hi ate us... and then spit out a new chapter of Alice in Muggleland! Alice and Billius tackle The Chamber of Secrets Chapter 4 Florish and Blotts. Alice points out that everyone just assumes Harry asks for trouble and that Ginny stands by her man...but don't expect Alice to ever be crushing on you if you are a celebrity. I wonder if we can get them on Big Brother. They talk about coding and the historical contexts of issues with race and LGBT briefly, while Billius gives some ash about the Floo Network to Alice.

We will try to coordinate better and get things recorded in the future... thank you for still listening if you are still listening.

In this Episode we go over Chamber of Secrets Chapter 2: Dobby's warning, where Alice talks about dark things (not dark wizard things or Billius would take her right the @#%@ out), and Alice also spreads the love in a way that she really didn't do in the last book.

Thanks to Nick for the opening question!

This is a review of chapters 16 and 17 of the Alice in Muggleland Podcast. Please have patience with this one and the next one, Billius's magical microphone went wonkie and just finished going to WizardyShack to get it fixed. It wasn't a simple Repairo job.
