In this episode, I talk about the difference between how men and women like to be loved + what some of our natural responses are to not being loved in the way we desire. 

For many men, respect is the MOST important thing to feel in a relationship, whereas for most women, we want to feel cherished, adored, and unconditionally loved. 

That’s not to say that women don’t need/want to feel respected and men don’t need/want to feel cherished and adored…

But what matters most to each of us is vastly different. 

The faster we can understand this difference as women, and learn to show our men respect (or continue to do so if we already are), the more we will witness our man’s greatest embodiment…

And naturally, we’ll also receive more of the love we desire.

No woman will ever truly respect a man she has “wrapped around her finger,” or “eating from the palm of her hand…”

These expressions indicate a distorted power dynamic where one person – in this case, the woman – has a sense of control over and could easily manipulate the man she’s dating or in a relationship with. 

And most times, if we want control over something or someone, it’s usually because some part of us doesn’t feel safe, and is trying to engineer a sense of safety by having control. 

But creating this kind of dynamic doesn’t actually get us closer to the love, intimacy and connection we so deeply crave. 

So what does?

• Why having control over your man/in the dynamic actually costs you your sense of safety
• The other costs of having “control” (hint: it costs you everything you actually want in love)

It’s anything but easy to be with a dominant, masculine man…

For most of my life, I really like having the upper hand, being in control, and having a more dominant energy…
