Today’s theme is "Do Not Despise Small Beginnings" based on Zechariah 4:10. This is part of the Momentum Challenge.
We named these episodes after Galatians 5:25, "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."
In many of these episodes we will be using a technique called Lectio Divina, which means divine reading. It's a way to connect with God through Scripture and prayer. Ask God for insight and to speak to you through His Word which is alive and active.

“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.” John Maxwell
Mini habits are so small it’s impossible to fail. For example write a paragraph (or 50 words), read 2 pages of a book, do one push up.
Doing something small is better than doing nothing at all.
“Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.” - R. Collier
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
“Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”” John 6:8-9 NLT
A young boy in a crowd of perhaps 15,000 people. Seems insignificant with his meager 5 loaves of bread & 2 fish. These small things added up to big results in the hands of Jesus.
When Jesus is added into our equation, anything can happen.

It is the small, consistent habits over time that can change your life. Whether you want to improve your health, start a business or write a book, it takes intentionality with your habits.
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 NLT
“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 NLT
One of the hardest things in life is to continue doing something despite not seeing the results right away.
There are no shortcuts. It takes consistent hard work over the long haul. Doing little things day after day will lead to big results in due time.
“We cannot all do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” ~ Mother Teresa

You can apply HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts to strength training, walking, biking, running, and more.
With HIIT workouts, you push yourself hard for a period of time and then rest. This type of training has been proven to be as effective as working out twice as long with other workouts.
To learn more about the research behind HIIT workouts, I recommend this book: “The One-Minute Workout” by Martin Gibala and Christopher Shulgan
It also describes the Ten by One workout which is great for beginners.
