In the late 1970's, the big swaggering rock n roll machine of The Rolling Stones was falling out of favor. Disco, punk, and new wave were hitting the scene and people wanted something different from what The Stones had been doing. They were in need of a revival. But with Keith Richards facing prison time, and battling a heroin addiction, the band was in no shape to make a comeback.
