Shame is a tool that Satan uses to keep us small and from stepping out in faith. If we hide behind shame, we feel the weight of what we have done is too big for God to forgive, it's too big for him to wash away, and it certainly means that we are not usable for God's kingdom. Well, these thoughts may feel accurate at times, but they are lies from the evil one.

Walk with me today through a portion of the story of Adam and Eve and see how their shame played into their desire to run away from God and hide. May we learn today from this story what it looks like to stay, and allow God to take away our shame, basking in the joy and glory of his ability to take away every sin. No matter how big it seems to us - God can handle it.

We will be reading today from Genesis 3:9-10.
