The Chief of Naval Operations to be, already Senate confirmed Admiral Moran, resigned his commission and retired in a letter to Navy Secretary Richard Spencer that was released to the media on Sunday.  At the center of the controversy is a US Navy Public Affairs officer by the name of Servello who was disciplined for his role in Christmas Party gone wrong in which he dressed as Santa Claus and sexually harassed female US Navy personnel; and the current CNO’s (ADM Richardson) slow response to firing him from his staff.
