A graphic picture of a father and daughter who both drowned attempting to reach the United States went viral this week.  Yesterday, Congressional members reacted and their reaction is sickening because they have the power to change reality on the border, which they CHOOSE not to do for political reasons.  SO SAVE THE NONSENSE!

The Marine Corps is having a robust discussion about “discipline” that was touched off by actions of the Commanding General of the 2nd Marine Division, MajGen David Furness.  The discussion has been a healthy one for an organization that prides itself on being discipline but by all account is not quite as disciplined as it would like to be. In the middle of that discussion are the two forums that have historically been the vehicles through which such topics are debated — the Marine Corps Gazette & Leatherneck Magazine.  We spoke to the editor of the Gazette, Chris Woodbridge, to get his thoughts on the debate as well as its implications for a reinvigorated intellectual spirit in the Marine Corps. A GREAT interview and a variety of topics!

Non-profit organizations have taken the lead in the finding of remains of American Service Members that have been Killed In Action in our wars.  An organization called History Flight announced it has located 30 sets of remains on the World War II battlefield on the island of Tarawa.  God bless them and a HUGE Semper Fidelis to them as they do their work.  The organization stated that they believe there is another 270 sets of remains to be located on Tarawa.  Well done boys & girls.  We’ll talk about it.

As we discuss the issue of Iran in our country, it’s always interesting to listen other voices.  Today, we’ll hear discussions about the “US – Iran” issues… nuclear weapons development, regional proxy wars and economic sanctions that have aired on the BBC and on Al Jazeera television.

There are terms we hear every day in newscasts that are deceiving — “treaty” is one of them.  Is any international “agreement” binding on a nation that doesn’t “ratify” it?  The answer is “no.”  What status does such an “agreement” have? Do they merely express the intent of the President?

The Vice President of the United States (Mike Pence) joined CBS’s “Face the Nation: program & Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton joined Fox News Sunday — we’ll listen to what they had to say and do a little commentary (which we love to do!).

The ALL MARINE RADIO Head Chef is Kim Holmes, he joined the program today and a discussion broke out about driving around the United States in the sixties and how different life was.  From advertisements on barns, to clear channel blow-torch radio stations to old “highways” that dripped with culture… we talk about the adventures that driving around the nation held for us.
