On January 7, 2017 Karl Marlantes, a Marine Infantry Officer in Vietnam and a recipient of the Navy Cross penned an opinion piece for the New York Times entitled “Vietnam — the war that Killed Trust.”  Karl has been a guest on ALL MARINE RADIO numerous times and was gracious enough to sit down with us and discuss his opinion piece, why he wrote it and what he hoped to achieve by writing it.

Post-Traumatic winning played the Pentagon yesterday in a historic first for ALL MARINE RADIO & the Post-Traumatic Winning presentation.  It was a great day and got even better as the day went on.

Alex Hollings is the the editor of FIGHTERSWEEP.COM and is a Senior Writer for NEWSREP.COM — he joined ALL MARINE RADIO to discuss the safety history or the Cobra gunship, one of which crashed Saturday evening during “routine training” outside of the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ and also to offer his opinion as a former enlisted recruit on training with women in a separate platoon in the same company.

 

Two Marine Cobra pilots were killed Saturday night when their helicopter crashed in Yuma, we’ll talk about it.

The first company of “gender integrated” recruits graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island last week.  Given that it followed the same model that Marine Corps Officer Candidate School has followed since at least 1983 — was it a big deal?  We’ll talk about it.

On the day we celebrate “Vietnam Veterans Day” one of our favorite Vietnam Veterans joins us — Bob Nilsson who happens to be the “godfather” of ALL MARINE RADIO.  In addition to being a Vietnam Veteran, Bob is the guiding force behind 100 Entrepreneurs — a non-profit organization that provides education and training for veterans looking to start businesses.

We’ll talk about both subjects with Bob… Vietnam Veteran and starting businesses.

The ALL MARINE RADIO Head Chef is Kim Holmes, he started six different restaurants, so we’ll talk about his thoughts on being a small business owner.

Last night Mac attended the “HillVets 100 Gala” in Washington DC as one of the top 100 veteran contributors in 2018.
