We met Leigh Tuttle after the Senate Armed Service Committee hearing on March 7th, she’s the spouse of an US Army Green Beret and they are stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McCord and has become active in the military housing issues that have been dramatically brought to the attention of the American people.  Leigh joined ALL MARINE RADIO to update us on how this issue is playing out AFTER the very visible public hearings the Senate held over the course of the last 45 days.

Bottom Line:  the results are decidedly mixed and most families still don’t feel like it’s “one team, one fight” when it comes to housing.

The twin towers of intellect join the program today to talk everything from WMD in Iraq to America’s list of strategic failures… Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia and possibly both Afghanistan and Iraq.  Why?

We’ll talk to retired infantry officers Col Jeff Kenney, USMC and Maj Tim Lynch, USMC and see if we can get to the bottom of this or at least have an interesting conversation about it.

The Trump Administration is seeking to use DOD counter-narcotics money to fund part of “The Wall” that the President is seeking to build.  On another hand, the DOD is asking Congress for $9 million more in “supplemental” legislation for hurricane damage to bases in the Carolinas and along the Gulf Coast of Florida.  In a move that surprised NOBODY the Democratic controlled Housed Armed SErvices Committee said “no.”

Marine South Expo is coming to Camp Lejeune April 11-12, 2019 and MajGen Mike Regner, USMC (ret) joined ALL MARINE RADIO to talk about this year’s show and what he’s excited about.  Mike is the Director Of Government Affairs and Military Expos for the Marine Corps League and a Senior Mentor in the Marine Corps — we’ll talk about his career, leadership and this year’s expos.

The DOD gave up $1 billion dollars for “Wall Building” — now the DOD has gone back to Congress, half of which is controlled by the Democrats, for more money because of the strain put on Service Budgets due to the unanticipated costs associated with the hurricanes that battered North Carolina & Florida.  Will they get the money after giving money for the wall?

Capt Kris Drake is currently a student at the Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfighting School (EWS) in Quantico.  He wrote a paper recently entitled “Breathing to Win Battles: How Meditation Can Make Better Marines” as part of a course requirement.  During the Post-Traumatic Winning presentation at EWS last week Capt Drake discussed the paper with Mac.  He joined the show today to talk about meditation, how it works, why it works for Marines and how he sees it as a tool to promote mental health and warfighting proficiency in stressful situations.

Captain Drake also explains a bit of cyber warfare to us at the start of the interview — great stuff!
